Eight series of workshops of two days each in a span of one month on English Language Communication Skills Lab were conducted during Aug-Sep 2005. A total of 260 teachers of English working in affiliated Engineering Colleges of JNTU in A.P. participated in the workshop in eight spells.
A two-day practicum on Thought Processing and English Language Communication in various emerging areas of literature, ELT and linguistics was conducted during September 16-17, 2007

ONE-DAY PRACTICUM ON "Emerging Areas of Research in English Language andLiterature"
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences conducted a one – day National Practicum on “Emerging Areas of Research in English Language and Literature” successfully on 29th April 2011 at the Seminar Hall of the Main Block, JNTUHCEH. The Practicum was inaugurated by the then honourable Vice-Chancellor of JNTUH, Prof. D. N. Reddy. Around 60 English Language Teachers from all over Andhra Pradesh participated and Resource Persons were invited from EFLU Hyderabad, HCU Hyderabad, and SKU, Ananthapur. Dr. Parvathi.V Associate Professor & Head was the Co-ordinator of the Practicum.

The objectives of the practicum are:
To get an exposure of new research methodologies.
To redefine the role of supervisor and researcher in the wake of existing notions and trends.
To explore areas in inter-disciplinary research.
To stimulate the inter-relationship between research and classroom teaching.
To exchange views on the role of research in bridging the gap between industry and institute.
