Achievements of the Department:

• Professor Dr. G. Lakshminarayana was Vice Chancellor of J N T U (combined) for Two terms. He was the first Vice Vhancellor from the Department of Mathematics.

• In the year 2008, Professor of the Department Dr. B. Krishna Gandhi became the first Vice Chancellor of J N T U Anantapur after trifurcation.
