Dr. M.Padmavathi is presently working as Professor and Head of Civil Engineering JNTUHCES (on deputation from JNTUHUCEH. Her Administrative positions includes Deputy Director, BICS, Co-ordinator, Academic and Planning, JNTUH and Deputy Warden for Girls Hostels of JNTUH College of Engineering, Hyderabad. She obtained B.Tech. (Civil Engg.) from K L College of Engineering, Nagarjuna University, Guntur, M.E.  from College of Engineering, Guindy Campus, Anna University, Chennai, Tamilnadu and Ph D. from JNTU, Hyderabad. She is the member of  Indian Geotechnical Society, (MIGS), Indian society for Earthquake Technology (MISET) and Institute of Engineers (MIE). She has visited Parahyangan Catholic University, Bali Indonesia and presented a research paper at an international Conference on Landslides and Slope Stability (SLOPE 2015) in the year, 2015. She also attended and presented a research paper at an international Conference on GEOMEAST in the year, 2018 held in Cairo, Egypt. Her research interests are Foundation Ground Interaction, Foundation design for tall structures, Soil investigation, Geosynthetics and soil reinforecement.
